BAU requires all international students at the Istanbul campuses to obtain residence permits from the Turkish government. Under Turkish law students must apply for permits within 30 days of entering the country. Applications for permits can take up to 90 days to be processed, or occasionally longer.
Applicants may not leave Turkey until their application is processed and they have received their residency permit.

After filling the application form, the system will present you the application number and the date of your appoimtment. This form allows you to stay in Turkey, but not the right of exit and enter the country. Mobile phone number and e-mail are needed for notification and the approvals.
